Q & A

What are the steps of the adoption process?

  • To get started, please submit your no-obligation adoption inquiry through the form on the website - click here to be directed to the application.

  • An ARC Rescue volunteer will contact you via phone to review your application.

  • If the cat is a good match for your family, the cat’s foster parent will contact you to answer any questions you may have and arrange a meet and greet with the cat(s) you are interested in.

  • When the adoption is finalized, the cat’s foster or other volunteer will deliver the cat to your home.

***Please note that due to us being an all-volunteer organization, some responses may be delayed***

Are your cats spayed/neutered? Are they vaccinated?

  • Yes, all of our ARC Rescue cats are fully vetted before adopting. They are spayed/neutered, up to date with their vaccinations, and microchipped. They have also had a check-up at the vet to be sure they are healthy.

Where are your cats located?

  • Our organization is completely foster-based, so most of our cats are in their foster parents’ homes. Meet and greets can be arranged during the adoption process.

  • Some of our cats spend time in Petco stores where you can view them through their “kitty condo” windows. If one or more of our cats at Petco catch your eye, please send in an no-obligation adoption inquiry in order for us to arrange a meet and greet.
